Dr. Mac Powell is author of "Inner Game: Breaking Golf's Unbreakable Barriers" and "The Ball is the Enemy." 

He is a PGA Class "A" Professional, Director of Golf, and Professor of Psychology at National University. 

Dr. Powell is an alumnus of the University of Missouri, where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Sociology.

Dr. Powell went on to complete a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University-Los Angeles and returned to complete his PhD at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Powell trained at Cedars-Sinai Hospital's Center for the Study of Children in Groups and Vista Del Mar's Family Stress Program in Los Angeles and worked as the primary family therapy clinician for a residential treatment facility for women and their families in St. Louis before designing a sports psychology curriculum at the Gateway Golf Academy.

Dr. Powell has served as the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf at four facilities, both private and public, and assists amateur and professional golfers in private consultation and clinics throughout the country.
